About the Opportunity

The role involves printing and verifying labels using DataGuard and Vector software, ensuring they match Extranet and Intranet information, and ordering stock labels from Stores. It requires adherence to standard operating procedures to meet packaging and labeling requirements, documenting any failures appropriately. The position is responsible for ensuring product safety, legality, authenticity, quality, and brand integrity, following site policies. Additionally, maintaining health and safety, hygiene, and security standards, as well as adhering to environmental practices, is essential. The role also emphasizes exhibiting Driscoll’s core values of passion, humility, and trustworthiness in all interactions.

 Responsibilities

  • Receiving Daily Label Production Check Forms
  • Understanding printer specifications (tray ends, produce labels)
  • Differentiate on-line from off-line printing
  • Full understanding of customer packaging requirements
  • Usage of back sheets, approval cube, grower codes etc
  • Checking printed labels/films against specific customer requirements
  • Ability to communicate verbally and use written communication cross departmentally
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • To communicate all the issues related to product labelling to management for further investigation
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members
  • Printing / checking labels, keeping working environment clean and tidy, essential verbal and written communication
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

    Candidate Profile

  • Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable role, preferably within the soft fruit industry
  • Strong appreciation of our business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with solutions to their challenges
  • Ability to relate to key client personnel in a professional and credible fashion
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees
  • Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries
  • Proactive approach and prompt responses to all service requests
  • Ability to identify needs and issues and recommend suitable and pragmatic courses of action and solutions, adopting a risk aware approach
  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meeting deadlines as required
  • Good IT skills including experience of Word and Excel
