We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity as a Key Account Manager, supporting the continued growth and development of Metsä Tissue UK & I. This role will provide focused support within the UK to BUKI, one of our strategic international accounts.

This is a field based role, requiring travel within defined area of responsibility, with remote working when not travelling for business purposes

What will you get to do?

The successful candidate will work closely alongside the International Key Account Manager (IKAM) to drive profitable growth across a complex, multi-segment customer.

This key account operates across several segments, including:

  • Cleaning & Hygiene
  • Catering
  • Healthcare/Care
  • Industrial
  • Retail

As part of this role, you will take ownership of the account’s businesses within a defined geographical region (e.g. North or South/specific region, TBC based on location of candidate), ensuring strong local execution aligned to the wider strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Development
    • Drive sales growth within your regional portfolio
    • Identify and convert new opportunities across all segments
    • Support the delivery of the overall key account strategy
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and manage relationships with key customer stakeholders across:
      • Sales teams
      • Marketing teams
      • Category teams
    • Act as the regional point of contact for the key account
  • End User Engagement
    • Develop direct relationships with key end users
    • Identify opportunities to increase product usage and brand presence
    • Support trials, conversions, and new product introductions
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with the IKAM to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, marketing, demand, supply chain)

  • Proven experience in key account management or a similar commercial role
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Commercially driven, with a track record of delivering growth
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a regional portfolio independently
  • Comfortable operating across multiple product categories and customer segments
