DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Key Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific in the Microbiology Division, where you'll develop strategic partnerships and guide revenue growth across our portfolio of innovative scientific solutions. This role combines strategic account management with team leadership, focusing on developing and implementing key account strategies while building strong relationships with stakeholders. You'll support a team of account managers, ensuring alignment between local strategies and global corporate account plans while growing business through portfolio expansion and new business development.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll utilize our comprehensive product portfolio to establish Thermo Fisher Scientific as the supplier of choice. Your strategic approach will include developing account plans, managing contracts and pricing, and implementing initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters Degree plus 8 years of experience in key account management in life sciences, healthcare, or related industries
• Preferred Fields of Study: Science, Business, or related field
• Professional certifications in relevant areas beneficial
• Experience leading and developing effective sales teams
• Strong understanding of clinical, pharmaceutical, or research markets
• Business planning and strategic analysis capabilities
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills at senior stakeholder levels
• Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.com
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and digital business tools
• Project management and organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization and guide cross-functional initiatives
• Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Advanced English language proficiency required; additional languages beneficial
• Travel required 30-40% of the time
• Experience working in a global organization with a decentralized model preferred
