Roles & Responsibilities

Codal is searching for a Junior to Mid-Level Technical SEO Specialist to support website migrations and replatforming projects. With experience in both technical SEO and cross-department collaboration, our ideal candidate will ensure smooth migrations while safeguarding SEO equity and improving site performance.

Candidates must have proven experience in technical SEO strategies, specifically with redirect mapping and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and BigCommerce. Other responsibilities include:

  • Conducting pre- and post-migration audits to identify and address SEO issues, including crawlability, indexability, and site architecture.
  • Collaborating with CRO analysts, engineers, and designers to implement SEO best practices.
  • Creating and managing detailed redirect maps to preserve SEO equity during migrations.
  • Monitoring site health and performance using tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
  • Optimizing Core Web Vitals and other page speed metrics.
  • Communicating clear, data-driven SEO strategies and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Staying up to date on trends and best practices with SEO and emerging industry technologies.

Requirements / Must Haves

  • 1-3 years of verifiable experience in technical SEO with a focus on migrations and replatforming.
  • Proficiency with tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and the Google Suite (Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, Google Sheets/Excel).
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and BigCommerce.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to SEO.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • This is an office based role, applicants are required to live within a commutable distance to our UK office
