Junior Video Content Producer, Classic FM (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

Your Role: Junior Video Content Producer, Classic FM

 

As Classic FM’s Junior Video Content Producer, you will be working alongside our video, digital and radio producers at Classic FM. You will be expected to help capture, edit and produce outstanding, engaging video content that ensures Classic FM remains at the top of the music and media landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation (33%): You will be responsible for helping to create memorable video content that our audiences will want to share. Your ideas will help bring our brand alive online and on social media.

  • On-air amplification (33%): Work with the radio team to amplify what they are doing on-air, in video.

  • Social video strategy (33%): Contribute with ideas to the brand's social video output, bring the best out of our talent and influence how we continue to publish engaging content for our digital audience.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Helped to shape Classic FM’s video output - from interviews and radio visualisation to the creation and delivery of original formats/series and large-scale productions

  • Edited longform and shortform video and created engaging thumbnails, optimising content for individual platforms

  • Confidently adopted Classic FM visual style and tone of voice, and maintained video production excellence across the board.

  • Learned new, and improved upon existing, video production skills and techniques.

  • Fostered and grown relationships between video, radio, social and digital team stakeholders.

  • Maintained consistent, prompt and professional communication across the business.

  • Understood and adopted internal processes, workflows and policies.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Production expertise: A good knowledge of all aspects of video production techniques and workflows.

  • Editing proficiency: Intermediate/Expert knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro is a must.  Experience with other Adobe Suite apps such as After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage.

  • Camera craft: Knowledge of advanced filming / camera operating techniques. Particular experience with the Sony FX6 range would be advantageous.

  • Platform fluency: A solid understanding of the social media landscape, the need to adapt content per platform and the ability to plan shoots to cater for them.

  • Professional mindset: A can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile and to always be professional and courteous towards your colleagues and external contractors.
