Hi, I’m Howard Gadsby, UX Lead at Hawk-Eye Innovations, and I’m excited to invite you to apply for the role of Junior UX Designer.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with UX researchers, developers, and product managers to design intuitive, user-centered interfaces across our innovative suite of sports technology tools. From umpiring systems to player tracking and virtual recreations, your work will help shape how the world experiences live sport.

Your typical day might include:

  • Mapping user journeys and pain points

  • Creating design prototypes and UI mockups

  • Running usability tests alongside UX researchers

  • Collaborating with developers to bring your designs to life

  • Presenting your designs to stakeholders across the business

  • Contributing to our evolving design system and component library

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • A degree in UX, Interaction Design, HCI, or similar

  • 2+ years' experience in a UX, Product, or Interaction Design role

  • A strong portfolio showing thoughtful, user-centered design work

  • Knowledge of usability testing methods and tools

  • Comfortable communicating design ideas clearly to different audiences

  • Detail-focused and able to juggle multiple priorities

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working on web or desktop applications

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Understanding of front-end technologies

  • Interest or experience in sport, broadcasting, or live event software

  • Additional language skills
