Job Description

The Junior User Acceptance Tester is to establish test criteria for multiple types of change based on business requirements and communicating test conditions to internal staff and team leader. The Junior User Acceptance Tester will maintain direct relationships with other experts and change stakeholders across the organisation and will be expected to be accurate and timely reporting on the status of UAT and escalation of issues with support of UAT team leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis and interpretation of Business Requirements and where necessary, obtain further information from Business Analysts as part of the review cycle/signoff process and give recommendations to the Project
  • Review and Analysis of Functional Specifications and Design Layout Specification to identify required testing conditions
  • Production of test scenarios, scripts and other UAT documentation including final sign off on changes before release into production.
  • Execution of UAT against previously defined and signed-off business requirements and test cases
  • Support in creation/amended to existing processes & procedures based on the changes being implemented.
  • Responsible for providing UAT updates to stakeholder and business sponsor.
  • Report & escalate any defects/issues found during UAT period.
  • Responsible for liaising with Operational Training Manager to ensure Training material is in line with the changes being released by providing functional overview.
  • Establish good working relationships across the business regarding the changes; including Project Managers, Business Analysts, Business Application Support, IT, members of Operational teams
  • Provide sign off on product testing during rate changes on out front book platform.
  • Provide Operation Support from technical knowledge perspective including BAU activities
  • Responsible in the creation of User Stories for Operational CI changes including Benefits analysis

Qualifications

  • Experience of working as a team or an individual
  • Banking or financial services experience - Operational/Service background (preferred however not necessary as training provided)
  • Experience in supporting change (preferred however not necessary as training provided)
  • Strong analysis, evaluation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to review both business and technical documentation
  • Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Good communication skills

Technical

  • Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Power-Point)
  • Ability to understand and fully comply with documented processes and procedures
  • Experience of JIRA or other test management tools (preferable however not necessary as training provided)
