Job Summary:

Are you ready to launch your career in cybersecurity and play a crucial role in protecting digital landscapes? Join Techary as a Junior SOC Analyst in our Orpington office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the frontlines of cyber defense, responding to security incidents, collaborating with experts, and driving continuous improvement in our security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line response to security incidents (Perform initial triage and classification of security events). 
  • Ensuring all tickets are updated daily with all relevant updates and information. 
  • Contacting customers by phone, email and ticketing system efficiently. 
  • Escalation to senior members of the SOC team where required, as well as assisting with resolution for future knowledge where able. 
  • Ensuring security incidents are investigated and resolved within a timely manner and SLA's (service level agreements) are met. 
  • Keeping internal and customer knowledge base up to date. 
  • Assist with the delivery of security projects where required. 
  • Investigate security incidents to determine root cause and impact. 
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices. 
  • Assist in the preparation of security reports and metrics. 
  • Support vulnerability management and remediation efforts. 

Qualifications / Past Experience:

  • Microsoft 365 admin
  • GSuite admin
  • Endpoint Security
  • Email Security
  • Network Security (Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.)) 
  • Backup Solutions 
  • Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors and basic InfoSec principle understanding (CIA Triad, ATT&CK, TTP’s etc.)
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and their security features
  • Knowledge of security concepts and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus/EDR software
  • (Preferred) EC-CSA or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
