Main Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and creatively driven Junior Retoucher to join our in-house creative team. In this role, you will support the retouching and enhancement of e-commerce & lifestyle imagery across AYBL Group, working across multiple brands to ensure all product visuals align with brand standards.

You will work closely with the wider creative, brand, and e-commerce teams to support the delivery of high-quality imagery for our online platforms, helping present products at their very best while developing your technical skills within a fast-paced creative environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support AYBL Group brands, primarily reporting to the Mid-Weight retoucher, assisting with the retouching and delivery of e-commerce imagery.
  • Retouch product images to brand standards, including basic colour correction, background clean-up, cropping, and image enhancements to ensure a polished finish.
  • Assist with e-commerce shoot preparation, supporting photographers and the wider creative team to ensure imagery is captured correctly for retouching.
  • Prepare and export imagery for web use, ensuring images are optimised for quality and performance.
  • Help maintain consistency across product imagery, ensuring alignment in lighting, colour, styling, and overall presentation.
  • Support with image organisation and asset management, ensuring files are correctly named, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Assist with website image reviews, helping update older product imagery and identify any missing assets.
  • Collaborate with the creative and e-commerce teams to support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and website updates.
  • Support ad hoc retouching requests for digital marketing, social media, and campaign assets when required.
  • Help maintain the image usage tracker, ensuring imagery is documented and used correctly across channels.
  • Respond positively to changing priorities and support the team with last-minute updates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up to date with retouching techniques, creative trends, and e-commerce best practices, continuously developing your skills.

Person Specification

  • 1+ years’ experience in a retouching, photography, design, or creative role (including internships, freelance, or placement experience).
  • A strong interest in retouching, fashion, and e-commerce imagery.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (Capture One experience is a bonus but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for colour, consistency, and composition.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
