Position Description

The Junior Quantitative Developer role is a dynamic entry-level position focused on supporting our Equity Derivatives (EQD) desk, specifically in D1 & Options trading within the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will engage in the development of pricing tools, participate in daily risk and P&L analyses, and collaborate with global quantitative teams to enhance trading strategies. This role offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or those with limited experience to leverage their technical skills and deepen their understanding of quantitative finance in a collaborative trading environment.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Supporting EQD D1 & Option trading desk in UK.

  • Building pricing tools and looking after daily risk and pnl analysis.

  • Building trading tools and helping sales & trading expand business in EMEA.

  • Working with global quants on quant library.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or related discipline(s).

  • Good knowledge of Equity Derivatives.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and software development experience in Python (3.9+) with excellent debugging and analytical skills.

  • Solid understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and unit testing practices

  • Experience with SQL, database design, and large datasets.

  • Expertise in engineering platform solutions in Python on large-scale, complex systems

  • Strong work ethic and motivation.

  • Ability to think fast and critically, solve various problems arising from trading, risk and operations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.

  • 1-3 years of direct experience.
