As a Junior Operations Manager based in our Brentford, UK office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operational processes run flawlessly.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to develop their career in Operations as you will learn across operations departments and roles, spend time with Filed based, digital, Airport, warehouse and purchasing colleagues and complete a level 5 Ops manager apprenticeship with the ambition of being our future Operations leaders.
You will collaborate closely with different teams to successfully implement strategies that improve our service delivery and contribute to our ongoing success.
Working hours 6am- 3pm which will flex as you rotate around departments
Hybrid however, first 3 months will be full time across Brentford and field.
What you'll be doing...
- Learning different operations aspects/ shadowing colleagues across Rail, retail, large format and digital maintain and Hardware; really understanding how/ why we operate the way we do.
- Spend time across regions to learn best in class practice.
- You will learn what happens behind the screens and how we maintain high standards.
- Coordinate daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve operational challenges.
- Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Monitor performance metrics and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations by learning from Health & Safety team and supporting completing audits and inspections.
- Manage inventory and logistics to maintain efficient stock levels.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provide training and support to staff to uphold our company standards.
A little bit about you...
- Required - Full UK drivers license
- GCSE maths and English
- Keen desire to learn new skills
- Previous working experience, e.g office, retail, construction etc
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Proactive, highly motivated and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Apprenticeship- The position involves a Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship and a certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
