Junior Graphic Designer

Location: London, Canary Wharf
Salary: £30,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Contract: Permanent, full time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri between 08:00-18:00 with a 30-min break

Work outside these hours may occasionally be required.

Work model: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 at home)

This role may require a full 5 day/week onsite requirement in the future. Only apply if this would be possible.

Williams Lea seeks a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team!

Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Creative team in Canary Wharf. This hybrid role includes two days per week in the office, with the remaining days working from home.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their design career who has a strong foundation in motion graphics and video. You’ll join a busy, friendly team producing a wide range of creative work, from short‑form motion graphics and digital content to printed materials and presentations. You’ll have plenty of support, but you’ll also be trusted to manage your own workload and deliver high‑quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging motion graphics and animations that bring concepts to life using After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
  • Produce high‑quality visual assets for digital channels, presentations, reports, campaigns, and internal communications.
  • Support senior designers with concept development, mood boards, and research.
  • Prepare artwork for digital and print production with strong attention to detail.
  • Manage your time effectively across multiple tasks and deadlines and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Check your work carefully to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking an organised, enthusiastic designer with good communication skills and a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite. You should have a good foundation in motion graphics and digital design, as well as some knowledge of print processes.

As a member of the team, you’ll contribute to a wide range of creative projects while learning from more experienced colleagues. You’ll be supported as you develop your skills, and play an active role in a positive, collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and everyone works together to achieve their best.

  • Strong motion graphics or video‑editing skills
  • An understanding of print design principles
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing polished, accurate work
  • A collaborative, open attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience working in a corporate or brand‑led environment
  • A portfolio showcasing both print and motion work
  • The ability to interpret data and present it clearly
  • A basic understanding of UX/UI concepts and a willingness to learn more
  • Experience using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to create digital layouts or simple prototypes would be an advantage
  • A willingness to learn more about inclusive design and incorporate accessibility considerations
