Role summary

We’re on the lookout for an ambitious Junior Finance Analyst to join Grayling UK’s Commercial Finance team, in London. You’ll play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support business performance. From budgeting and forecasting to developing key reports and providing strategic insights to senior stakeholders, you’ll help drive informed decision-making and improve financial analytics across the business.


The day to day

  • Support the Commercial Finance team in:
    • The annual budget process for business units globally.
    • Regular updates of financial forecasts.
    • The formal quarterly forecasting process and combining forecasts across the business into a clear narrative of overall business performance.
    • Working alongside the Commercial team to conduct in-depth analysis of P&L performance, understanding revenue & cost drivers, and highlight risks or opportunities to plan.
  • Produce and develop key reporting packs, including weekly new business wins, monthly flash results and monthly management dashboards for business unit leads.
  • Interpret and communicate financial performance providing key insights on business KPI’s and trends to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop new financial analysis and insights – promoting and driving greater use of analytics throughout the division.
  • Support the Finance Director in preparing Board presentations.
  • Maintain information in FP&A systems by working with the wider Finance Team to ensure accurate data is captured.
  • Assist in implementation of BI reporting tools including requirements gathering, tool selection and report design. Assist in data management and consistency.


What will give you the edge

  • A finance related degree
  • A strong grasp of Excel
  • Ability to manipulate large volumes of data, adding value by identifying and communicating key trends & insights.
  • Highly numerate with experience of data analysis.
  • Driven, problem solver with a desire to learn new skills & systems to further career progression and develop the role.
  • Ability to use PowerPoint for producing presentations
