We are looking to add a junior economist to our European economics team based in London
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Support London-based research team in analysis, modelling, and forecasting of European economies

Cover select countries in depth (e.g., France, Netherlands)

Perform literature searches, read and summarize academic papers and policymaker speeches
-
Contribute to the general work flow and internal publications of the team
-
Back-up to other team members on their respective tasks
-
Limited travel may be required.
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Essential
-
Bachelor or Master level degree with quantitative major (economics strongly preferred; math, engineering, etc. acceptable in conjunction with appropriate work experience)
-
1 – 3 years’ experience in a junior economist or research assistant role at an investment bank, asset manager, central bank, research institute or international organization
-
Experience with economic modelling of European economies

Demonstrated programming skills (Excel and at least one programming language such as Python)

Team player, proactive, independent
