The Role

Junior Data Quality Analyst

Location: Battersea (Hybrid) | 12-month Fixed Term Contract | Part-Time

About LEAP
LEAP is a global LegalTech leader and part of ATI, one of the world’s largest LegalTech companies. For over 30 years, LEAP has helped lawyers and their teams work smarter through software used by more than 100,000 legal professionals worldwide.

Join a fast-growing international business with over 1,000 LEAPsters across Australia, Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Poland and New Zealand, united by our purpose: “Help lawyers who help people.”

Ruffle is a small LegalTech team within LEAP, focused on helping lawyers analyse financial data, prepare accurate court documents and deliver better outcomes for their clients. You’ll join a collaborative, low-bureaucracy team with the flexibility of a start-up and the support of an established global business.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst to help ensure the financial data produced by our software tools is accurate, reliable, and useful.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, working 5 hours per day, 25 hours per week.

You’ll review bank statements and other financial documents when our extraction tools encounter edge cases, for example, where balances do not reconcile, formatting is unusual, or transactions behave in ways the software cannot interpret on its own.

Using your judgement and attention to detail, you’ll correct errors, validate running balances and make sure the data lawyers rely on is accurate.

This is a junior role and no formal qualifications are required. What matters most is attention to detail, curiosity, logical thinking and confidence using software.

Requirements

What you'll do

  • Use internally developed software tools to extract information from bank statements and other financial documents
  • Review extracted data for accuracy, completeness and consistency
  • Check balances, transactions and calculations to identify and correct errors
  • Investigate unusual formatting, reconciliation issues and other edge cases
  • Collaborate with team members to improve internal tools, accuracy, efficiency and automation
  • Identify recurring patterns and suggest improvements to products and processes
  • Test new features and provide practical feedback from a user perspective
  • Create documentation and other resources for internal tools and data extraction processes
  • Provide wider support to the development team where needed, including administrative, clerical, data entry or similar tasks

What you'll bring

  • Strong attention to detail, even during repetitive or long running tasks
  • Confidence using computer software and exploring new tools
  • Good basic arithmetic and logical reasoning skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A curious mindset and a desire to improve products and processes
  • A flexible, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work in a small team where priorities and processes may evolve quickly
  • The patience and judgement to investigate problems carefully rather than rushing through them

You may be especially suited to this role if you enjoy:

  • Spotting errors or inconsistencies
  • Working through detailed information methodically
  • Solving small logic or data problems
  • Using software tools to make work more efficient
  • Improving processes and suggesting better ways of doing things
  • Being part of a small, collaborative team where your input matters

    • Generous professional development fund
    • Ongoing training and career progression opportunities
  • Health and wellbeing

  • Time off
    • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
    • Enhanced parental leave
    • One paid volunteer day each year for a charity of your choice
  • Work environment
