About the Role

We’re on the hunt for a Junior Data Consultant/Analyst who’s as comfortable in a room full of stakeholders as they are working through a SQL query. You’ll work across some of our most exciting data platform projects, helping clients unlock the value in their data through thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and structured delivery.
This is more than just a technical role — it’s about being curious, adaptable, and ready to learn. Whether you're running data profiling on a new source system, preparing governance documentation, or helping shape a new data model, you'll be supported every step of the way by experienced consultants and engineers who want to see you thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Project Work

  • Join discovery workshops and help translate business requirements into usable data definitions, processes, and models.
  • Get hands-on with client data: profiling, mapping, validating and suggesting improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and consultants to design usable datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Support the implementation of data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview), helping clients document, catalogue and trust their data.
  • Contribute to key artefacts like metric definitions, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and governance policies.

Internal Projects & Development

  • Be a key part of our Fabric Accelerator rollouts - helping bring structure and best practice to early-stage projects.
  • Assist with monitoring usage and adoption metrics across client platforms, helping us identify where extra support is needed.
  • Learn from your mentors - shadow client meetings, get feedback on your work, and grow your skills quickly through real-world impact.

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • You’re confident, articulate, and people-focused; someone who can build trust quickly and asks great questions.
  • You’ve got strong SQL skills and are happy working with data to answer real-world questions.
  • You enjoy solving problems even when the answer isn’t obvious.
  • You’re well-organised, detail-oriented, and can document your thinking clearly and accessibly.
  • You’re excited about data governance, data quality, and turning messy inputs into trusted systems.
  • You’re genuinely interested in consulting and client delivery.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Dataflows, or Power BI integrations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or other data governance tools.
  • Experience with data modelling (e.g. star/snowflake schemas).
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management and data product thinking.

What You'll Gain

  • Exposure to modern data stack technologies, including Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Lake, and Purview.
  • The opportunity to work on high-impact projects in analytics, data strategy, and governance.
  • Personalised mentorship from experienced data consultants and engineers.
  • Flexibility to work across disciplines - from business-facing analytics to platform design.
