About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Conference Producer to join the Aviation Week Network team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to deliver a series of events that explore the latest trends in the aviation industry, featuring top global thought leaders. As part of an international team, you will contribute to the production of 15-20 events annually, ranging from intimate 200-person conferences to large-scale trade shows with over 15,000 attendees worldwide.
This role also includes opportunities to travel to in-person events, where you will support and showcase the work of the Production team while engaging directly with industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Research
- Conduct in-depth research on industry topics, trends, and developments to create cutting-edge conference content.
- Develop compelling agendas that address current challenges, innovations, and opportunities in the aviation sector.
- Monitor competitor activities to ensure our content remains innovative and competitive.
- Build and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, market insiders, and thought leaders.
Speaker Management
- Source, select, and secure high-level, industry-leading speakers through research, networking, and existing contacts.
- Collaborate with speakers to ensure their participation aligns with event objectives and audience expectations.
Marketing & Promotion
- Write persuasive marketing copy for conference brochures, websites, and promotional materials.
- Support the marketing team with agenda updates and speaker developments.
- Contribute to social media activity (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to promote events and foster community engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Suggest and implement process improvements across departments to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Event Delivery & Performance
- Travel to in-person events to support onsite execution, ensuring exceptional customer service standards.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all deliverables.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the success of the events.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree of 2:1 that highlights your ability to independently research.
- Experience: Previous experience in office or commercial environments.
- Research & Analysis: Strong ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into compelling event content.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly for executive interviews and marketing materials.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Networking & Collaboration: Strong networking skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team.
- Pressure Management: Comfortable working under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive mindset with high attention to detail and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally as required.
