About the Team:

As a Community Manager at Vonage, you will primarily work on identifying and establishing relationships with key developer communities and community leaders in the EMEA region, in order to understand their needs, and build a collaborative environment to ensure we can authentically and effectively serve them. You will work as part of a global Developer Relations team whose goal is to raise awareness of Vonage within developer communities, run engaging physical and online events and campaigns and gather actionable product feedback through community building activities.

The Community team is made up of a Head of Community and three Community Managers who focus on different regions (EMEA, APAC, US, and Global). As a Junior Community Manager (EMEA), you’ll support community initiatives in your region while contributing to global projects.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing and running developer events, webinars, hackathons, and product feedback sessions in collaboration with the Developer Relations and Product teams.
  • Support the setup and management of systems, tools, and processes for community events and engagement.
  • Help track and analyze community insights and engagement metrics to improve activities.
  • Assist in community outreach, recruitment, and promotional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with different teams within Vonage to promote Developer Relations internally and externally.
  • Create content for social media, blogs, and other platforms to engage developers.
  • Coordinate with vendors for swag, design, and other event-related needs.
  • Participate in various developer community programs as needed.
What you'll bring:
  • A strong interest in developer communities and engagement.
  • Some experience contributing to or managing a community (e.g., through events, online forums, or social media).
  • Basic experience organizing events or meetups, either in-person or virtual.
  • Good communication skills, especially in written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus!).
  • A willingness to learn and work collaboratively with different teams.

Experience we consider a plus:

  • Basic design skills for creating simple visuals.
  • Some coding knowledge (even just basic scripting or understanding of developer tools).
  • Experience speaking at meetups, conferences, or community events.
  • Interest in or experience with ambassador or developer champion programs.

Travel Requirements: Medium travel (EMEA)

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in community management and developer relations, with hands-on experience in events, content creation, and engagement strategies.
