Formula 1 is the fastest growing sport in the world, attracting millions of new fans every year. As we continue our growth globally, we are looking for a Junior Communications Executive to support the communications team, as we deliver our global coverage. The role will be London based, with some travel possibly required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Communications team with administration, measurement, communications materials, events and announcements.
  • Supporting the broad communications teams (political, global corporate and consumer PR, internal comms, and motorsport) as required.
  • Supporting the Comms Executive and Media Analyst with measurement reports.
  • Responsible for creating the daily media coverage report.
  • Responsible for team admin, such as media subscriptions, updating weekly planning documents, organising meetings, room bookings, event plan drafting.
  • Supporting the team with activity taking place at the races.
  • Proactively monitoring the media for stories and issues throughout the day and reporting back to the senior team.
  • Supporting with the drafting of briefing notes, biographies, and other supporting materials.
  • Supporting the planning and management of events as required.
  • Supporting F1’s PR agency with requests for information.
  • Working with the Communications Execs and Managers on media enquiries and story rebuttals.

About You

  • Experience working in an agency or within an in-house public affairs or corporate relations team.
  • A proven track record of managing administration, media monitoring, press liaison, and report writing.
  • Strong understanding of the media and the news agenda. 
  • Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal/relationship-building skills.
  • Must know how to use major social media channels (X, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • A proactive team-player that gets involved, offers to pick up work and supports your colleagues.
  • You must also be flexible and prepared to work outside office hours, both during a normal working week and at races.
  • Please note, you will be expected to be in the office by 08:00 on weekdays to complete the media report.
