This is a fantastic opportunity for the ideal candidate to work under the mentorship of a Senior Commercial Manager with over 30 years commercial experience and directly supporting them on a high value, complex and challenging baggage handling project.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the mentorship of a Senior Commercial Manager with over 30 years commercial experience and directly supporting them on a high value, complex and challenging baggage handling project.
- Supporting the current Commercial team with financial control of projects through forecasts (cash flow & costs), application for payments and billing plans.
- Responsible for ensuring that supplier subcontracts are controlled and within budget which will include assessing monthly applications from suppliers, issuing payment certificates
- Supporting Commercial Managers on assessing or build up (costs, narrative and substantiation) of compensation events.
- Analysing sub-contractors quotes across the project portfolio for consistency
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Customers, Subcontractors and Internal Stakeholders in support of the above accountabilities .
- Continuously improve upon own and others commercial management disciplines, community development and best practices to help support better individual and collective project delivery.
Role Qualification and Skills
- Strong Mathematical and Excel skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritise workload within a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ideally knowledge of different forms of contracts e.g. NEC3, NEC4, MF/1
- Educated to Degree level
