In this exciting new role, you will support the delivery of our commercial strategy and asset raising by driving a more technology enabled, insight led approach to Distribution (Marketing, Sales & Client Management).
Our Client Enablement team drive the modernisation of Distribution at Columbia Threadneedle via ownership of the fintech strategy, empowering delivery of the EMEA Commercial Strategy and creating an outstanding client experience.
Sitting within the Distribution business management function, our Client Enablement Strategists lead our approach to developing tech enabled, insight led sales and commercial client management practices. Enabling business performance by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, processes, tools and methodologies.
Reporting to the head of Client Enablement Strategy, you will partner with business teams and leaders to understand their objectives and needs, drive delivery of the relevant solutions to support user journeys and ensure implementation and adoption across the business.
You will take a hands-on role in establishing and driving the use of levers to achieve excellence in client experience and maximising commercial impact. For example, campaign management, client coverage & sales funnel optimization.
You will likely have prior experience at a top tier consultancy, asset manager or similar. Have experience in Sales, Marketing or Digital Program management, you enjoy making the complex simple, are commercially minded and communicate with conviction. 

    Role responsibilities:Working for the Head of Client Enablement Strategy, you will be responsible for:

    • Partnering with the Distribution business to identify opportunities for improving Sales / Client Management effectiveness. You will analyse initiatives and processes on an ongoing basis to provide recommendations for enhancements, determining process improvements, insight needs and tech tooling development
    • Partnering with tech product managers, developers and data scientists to articulate business needs for Distribution and assist with shaping the development and deployment of new capabilities to support a broad range of use cases across Sales and Client Management
    • Ensuring the roadmap is well communicated and understood by business stakeholders, product, and technology teams
    • Complete program/project papers ensuring stakeholders are kept well informed of progress
    • Support Distribution leads in Sales and Client Management, ensuring they have the necessary insight and capabilities to operate and execute effectively and efficiently
    • Creating captivating and engaging communications to foster a culture of innovation and change as we drive a more modern, client centric Distribution proposition

    Key Capabilities: Essential:

    • Act as a trusted partner and specialist to the Distribution teams, creating & leveraging analysis to support continuous improvement
    • Good understanding of the asset management industry, in particular Distribution across Marketing, Sales &/or Client Management
    • Strong analytic skills including ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into recommendations and capability requirements  
    • Exceptional communication skills to create compelling narratives and engage user base
    • Experience with CRM and broader Sales and Martech stack products


    Preferred:

    • Demonstratable experience in business analysis / management consultancy – i.e. business and functional requirement elicitation, translation and documentation
    • Project management experience and skills – preferably agile
    • Experience within insight Sales programmes (e.g. lead generation / campaign management)
    • Direct experience in asset management Sales, Client Service or Marketing
    • Experience diving user adoption / tech implementation
    • Experience working in agile product development and associated tech platforms
