As a Junior Business Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Group Functions Technology team. This role helps us deliver on our mission by ensuring effective planning, financial management, and performance reporting – all essential for transforming our technology operations into a modern, product-centric model. You’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of health technology at Bupa, making sure we stay agile, efficient, and focused on what matters most: our customers and their health.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support the leadership team to define and mature KPIs that track progress against yearly targets.
  • Assist with KPI reporting, develop automation where possible, and help drive recovery plans when needed.
  • Consolidate financial actuals and forecasts, identify under- or over-spends, and ensure corrective plans are in place.
  • Coordinate the annual operational planning process, including resource and cost forecasts, and prepare materials for approval.
  • Develop and improve communication materials that explain our strategy and objectives, aligning with wider Group Technology goals.
  • Continuously improve management reporting, including monthly domain reports and CIO updates, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Optimise GFT meetings by preparing agendas and packs.
  • Support governance frameworks for agile delivery and conduct delivery health checks.
  • Help with team collaboration events and communications.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

  • experience in a technology PMO or BMO role within a large corporate environment.
  • Strong background in KPI and OKR development, reporting, and remediation.
  • Experience in operational financial management, including annual planning and forecasting.
  • Ability to produce clear, effective business reporting in a technology setting.
  • Familiarity with modern IT ways of working, including product-centric models, DevSecOps, and agile delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams.

Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family-friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:

  • 25 days holiday each year (pro rata for part-time), increasing with service, plus the option to buy or sell days.
  • Enhanced pension and life insurance.
  • Annual performance-based bonus scheme.
  • Bupa health insurance as a benefit in kind.
  • Option to join dental insurance at a discounted rate.
  • Access to our Digital GP platform on your mobile.
  • Emotional wellbeing support and family mental health line.
  • Financial wellbeing channels and support for carers.
