Job OverviewKey Responsibilities
- Support Brand Planning: Assist in developing marketing and trade marketing plans under the guidance of senior team members.
- Category & Competitor Insights: Help gather and analyze data on product categories and competitor activity to identify trends and opportunities.
- Trade Marketing Execution: Contribute to the implementation and reporting of trade marketing activities aligned with brand objectives.
- Coordination: Assist in preparing briefs for advertising, media, point-of-sale, and packaging design agencies, and help monitor project progress.
- Plan Implementation:
- Support the development of trade marketing plans with National Account Managers.
- Help execute brand strategies and activities.
- Prepare reports and updates for internal teams and clients.
- Budget Monitoring: Track marketing spend and assist with monthly budget reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with logistics and other departments to ensure continuity of supply.
- Presentation Support: Create and maintain customer presentations in collaboration with sales managers.
- Sales Team Support: Provide brand updates and marketing materials for customer meetings.
- Forecast Assistance: Support in preparing sales and profit forecasts as part of annual objectives.
- Other Duties: Carry out any reasonable tasks related to the role as required.
- Some experience in marketing or a related field (internship or entry-level role) is desirable.
- Exposure to consumer packaged goods or retail sectors is an advantage.
- Interest in Health & Beauty, OTC, or regulated markets is preferred but not essential.
- A recognised marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) or working towards one.
- Marketing or business-related degree preferred but not essential.
- Good general education including Maths and English.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and channels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) at a basic to intermediate level.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare simple reports.
- Good communication skills for working with colleagues, clients, and agencies.
- Ability to work proactively and manage tasks with guidance.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
