Role:

The Junior Accountant will be part of the Corporate Finance team.

The team are responsible for all Statutory, Regulatory, and Management reporting for Ardian UK. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Junior accountant will be part of a small, professional team.

Mission:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Raise Sales invoices for Ardian UK

  • Prepare payment runs, coding invoices, and completing all data fields

  • Prepare upload files for Sage

  • Prepare / review recharge schedules and analysis to the Funds, and other Ardian entities

  • Review Concur expense postings

  • Prepare Accruals and Prepayments schedules

  • Assist with the preparation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account reconciliations

  • Assist Cost Centre analysis and reporting

  • Complete month end management information analysis

  • Completion of regular periodic bank reconciliations, updates and analysis

  • Complete analysis for the financial budget process

  • Collate information for VAT / Corporation tax reporting and payments

  • Provide detailed analysis to support the PSA (PAYE Settlement Agreement) process / submission

  • Complete all ONS (Office of National Statistics) returns for Ardian UK

  • Provide financial analysis / data as required

  • Maintain / draft process and procedure notes for all finance tasks

Required Skills:

The Junior Accountant role requires someone with an Accounting/Business background.

  • Strong academic background

  • Good communication and inter‐personal skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to work effectively within a team; and collaboratively across multiple departments, and geographies

  • Should be highly organized & motivated

  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge is advantageous

  • Interest in the Private Equity / Asset Management space is a benefit

Communication Scope:

 

The Junior Accountant will be required to liaise directly with internal and external stakeholders; and should be confident in requesting / providing information to all levels of management.

 

The role will require frequent (daily) interaction with other teams in the UK, and from other Ardian offices / geographies; as well as with 3rd party service providers.

Management Scope:

 

The role has no direct reports, or staff managed (direct / indirect)

Metrics:

 

Internal reporting deadlines; (month end / quarter end / annual / other, as required) External reporting deadlines; (month end / quarter end / annual / other, as required)
