Key Capabilities
The Junior Account Manager plays a vital role in the daily operations of the account as well as responding to major multi-million dollar Global briefs. The role focuses on the full campaign lifecycle, from receiving briefs, planning exciting media plans, effectively activating them and reporting campaign success to the client.
You will work with the account director and account executive focusing on offline planning including TV, Print, OOH and Partnership opportunities. You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all things in order to deliver best in class work and service for our client.
Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesClient and Account Management
- Gain the trust and build a strong relationship with the client by demonstrating your knowledge, a strong work ethic and dedication to high quality solutions to business needs
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver the best possible service for clients
- Act as the go to for internal partners on all things offline and account management
- Organising a variety of meetings internally and externally
- Help to ensure the smooth management of account finances and administrative tasks
- Confidence in managing upwards and escalating potential issues quickly to the Account Director and broader team
- Guiding the Account Executive in their learning and day to day duties
Coordination
- Support the Account Director in local market coordination, driving innovation and brand stewardship regionally within each market – interrogating responses and feeding back effectively
- Managing day to day communication across the internal UM network including our creative team, as well as our external network of vendors
- Support our global market teams in the implementation of their campaigns, ensuring that the strategy is followed and implemented as designed
- Work closely with markets to deliver accurate & timely reports to clients (e.g. spend, competitive data etc.)
- Challenge and question recommendations with the support of Account Director to ensure the best possible delivery for clients
- Preparing materials for presenting and selling work. We love a good presentation deck.
- Supporting the development of work by documenting client feedback and attending review meetings.
- Monitoring project deadlines, identifying and communicating potential changes that may be required.
- Maintaining accurate records of meetings, decisions and next actions.
- Working (and lunching) with publishers and partners (think META, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch and more!)
Planning
- Support the Account Director in effective planning of all offline channels including sponsorships/Partnerships
- Attending client briefings and gathering relevant data to support the development of media communication strategies and creative briefs in response.
- Manage media plans over the long term, exhibiting flexibility and strong management of relationships with our key media partners
- Take on the role of point-person within sponsorships, leveraging the multitude of partnerships the client holds within the sports space
ABOUT YOU
- You have previous media experience and are curious about the agency and client’s business and sector
- You are personable and persuasive, and able to work effectively with a variety of different people
- You are organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills to be able to effectively manage multiple projects.
- You are flexible, and able to solve problems - lets ‘Assume’ nothing and be able to deal positively with setbacks and ambiguity (media and innovation are constantly evolving at pace - we like to run with it!)
- You are an effective communicator
- You are comfortable working with data
- You are confident using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
