Job summary
The ITAM Administrator, reporting to the ITAM Manager, will support the ITAM function ensuring compliance with vendor support contracts, licensing agreements, and internal policies, while optimising asset utilisation and cost efficiency.
The role will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle management of all IT related hardware and software assets within the organisation. This will require working closely with departments and roles outside of the ITAM team such as Group Procurement, Information and Security Risk Management and Client Services to ensure associated licenses and support agreements are in place. The role will be a critical contributor to ensuring compliant and effective licensing agreement, utilisation tracking, consolidation and optimization of all IT assets across our estate.
Key Responsibilities:

Asset Lifecycle Management:

Support the development and implementation of ITAM policies, processes and procedures for the effective management of IT assets from acquisition through disposal.

Maintain the inventory of all IT assets, ensuring accurate records of ownership, location, and configuration.

Ensure software agreements are regularly updated; license information is captured and bulk uploaded into Snow License manager

Support the deployment, maintenance, and retirement of hardware and software assets.

Ensuring all deployed IT assets have valid support and maintenance agreements.

Procurement & Vendor Management:
-
Work closely with procurement teams to source IT assets that meet organisational needs at optimal costs.

Support the management of vendor relationships and monitor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Compliance & Audit:
-
Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and other legal requirements.
-
Take part in the regular audits of IT assets to verify compliance and optimise asset usage.

Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to IT assets.

Financial Management:
-
Support ITAM function to develop and manage the IT asset budget, including forecasting and cost analysis.

Monitor and report on IT asset expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings using Snow License manager

Support the implementation processes to track and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) of IT assets.

Data & Reporting:

Maintain a comprehensive and accurate IT asset management database in Snow License Manager.

Generate and interpret regular reports on asset status, utilization, compliance, and financials.

Use data analysis to inform decision-making and improve asset management processes.

Policy Development & Implementation:
-
Support ITAM function to develop and enforce IT asset management policies, procedures, and standards.

Educate and train staff on IT asset management policies and ITAM best practices.

Risk Management & Security:
-
Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT assets, including security vulnerabilities and compliance risks.

Work with IT security teams to ensure that assets are protected against unauthorized access and data breaches.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT asset management.

Support the Implementation of new ITAM tools and technologies to support asset management objectives.

Skills & Competencies
-
Proven experience with IT asset management tools and software.
-
Proven track record of building and controlling ITAM Processes
-
Relevant experience in ITAM Related roles.

Experience of SNOW ITAM platform.
-
Experience of ServiceNow ITSM platform.
-
Good Data Analytical Skills.
-
Able to understand the commercial aspects of IT Asset Management.
-
Proficiency in asset management software, databases, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Very Good and diverse understanding of Hardware and Software.
-
Understanding of Hardware concepts including Cloud and how this affects ITAM.

PowerBI analytics and reporting

Sharepoint site creation and maintenance

Proven experience with IT asset management tools and software.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and licensing agreements.

Proven communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.

Education
-
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience).

ITAM certification.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP), or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) are preferred.
