Lincoln International is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team to help foster and drive the brand, passion, culture and technology that is at the core of Lincoln’s success. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for driving global Information Technology initiatives, and ensuring systems security, availability and platform impact across the entire organization. This person should have relevant professional experience, be entrepreneurial, and be poised and able to interface with many different people both inside and outside the firm.

A successful Systems Engineer should have exceptional organizational skills, be team-oriented and have flexibility to support the technology team as well as provide effective and strategic management of the technology platforms. The Systems Engineer should also demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work professionally and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment and the willingness to take ownership of tasks from beginning to end.

We envision the Systems Engineer will be initially tasked with the following:

  • Synthesizing a consistent, secure and current technology infrastructure across multiple global offices:
    • Configuration and management of Lincoln’s technology infrastructure, networking and multiple cloud platforms
    • Managing patch management process to ensure consistent and timely updates of all systems
    • Updating systems and processes to meet evolving security standards as part of the cybersecurity journey
    • Evaluating and proposing new or updated systems to maintain a “best in class” technology platform
    •  Assist with change management and adoption of existing and new technology
  • Provide support to the firm’s Information Technology team:
    • Tier 3 escalations of complex network and server issues
    • Contribute to strategy and budgeting of technology resources
    • Assist with managing vendors and consultants, including contract negotiation and bidding
    • Support the Chief Information Officer on projects and initiatives as needed
  • Proactively maintaining Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (the CIA triad) for all systems:
  • Reviewing and updating change management policies
  • Maintaining and testing firm backup and disaster strategies to meet RTO and RPO benchmarks
  • Interfacing with SOCaaS vendors to investigate and remediate incidents
  • Work with other teams at Lincoln to improve and implement business processes using technology
  • Proven experience working with technology platforms currently in use at Lincoln:
    • Microsoft environment, including Windows Servers, Azure, Office 365, Active Directory, Intune
    • Cisco switching and wireless
    • Watchguard nextgen firewalls
    • Okta

Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in network/systems support role
  • Experience designing, documenting, and executing technology plans across a multi-office environment
  • One or more advanced vendor certifications such as MCSE, CCIE, CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
