Druce is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer, this role will play a
crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT
systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to
our employees, assisting them with hardware and software issues,
troubleshooting network problems, and maintaining system security. The ideal
candidate will possess expertise in supporting in supporting remote/onsite
users, Office 365 and have a background in cloud technologies such as Azure and
AWS.
- Provide first-line technical support to
end-users, promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to
hardware, software, and networking.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems and
offer timely solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer
systems, software applications, and network devices.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the
integrity and security of data, systems, and networks.
- Assist in managing user accounts and access
controls for various systems and applications.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure,
including servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Log all IT support requests in IT Service Desk
system.
- Assist in creating training materials pertaining
to computer troubleshooting and usage.
- Act as the initial point of contact for all
computer and system related concerns from other employees.
- Organise and file documentation pertaining to
warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware,
software, and licenses.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on
utilising IT systems and tools effectively.
- 5+ years of experience in organisations with 100 +
users.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information
Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar
role, with a focus on supporting Office 365.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly
Azure and AWS.
- Experience in supporting remote users and managing
remote access technologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and
protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software
issues on Windows and macOS platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to
work under pressure.
- ·Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified Expert would
be advantageous
