    What are we looking for?

  • Experience of leading large complex IT system and business change projects (7 years +)

  • Experience of being involved in large complex IT system and business change programmes (5-7 years)

  • Expert level knowledge of the software development lifecycle, practiced in requirements gathering, solution design, solution development and solution testing (unit, integration, system, penetration, etc).

  • Experience of leading a blend of Agile and Waterfall projects, utilising project management tools (Jira, Confluence etc) to support delivery.

  • Implement change management strategies through effective communication and training initiatives

  • Stay current with project management methodologies and technical practices for continuous improvement

  • Lead regular feedback and learning sessions to enhance project delivery effectiveness

  • Drive and continuously improve project governance framework while maintaining consistency across teams

What will you be doing?

The Technical Project Manager manages business change projects which are underpinned by our IT Products to optimise, evolve and grow Veolia. The role is instrumental in project delivery which may be part of larger programmes, or projects involving multiple IT Products. 

The core skills of a project manager in communication, organisation, business change, negotiation, collaboration, team leadership and budget management are paired with a technical skill set which encompasses DevOps and system integration to effectively deliver projects to scope, time, cost and quality.

  • Lead and manage project teams, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive resource plans while building strong relationships with Area Heads and Product Owners

  • Establish clear project governance, roles, and responsibilities, including effective change management processes

  • Drive business case development and manage project budgets, forecasts, and actual costs
