Crest Nicholson are looking for an IT Project Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, this role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope and in line with programme objectives, contributing to the overall success of Crest.

Developing strong working relationships with suppliers and colleagues across functional and divisional areas is a key part of the role.

As IT Project Manager you will manage and drive allocated IT projects through to successful implementation. The role requires strong experience in leading technical and application-based projects, with confidence across infrastructure, data and software disciplines. You will provide programme management support for the delivery of IT projects and  support Crest in selecting, implementing and making effective use of new IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, with responsibility for end-to-end delivery.
  • Define clear project scope, deliverables, and success criteria
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure delivery is aligned with programme priorities, scope, and objectives
  • Drive execution to meet milestones, quality standards, and deadlines
  • Track and manage dependencies with other projects or workstreams
  • Ensure delivery to agreed budget and timescales
  • Apply a structured, proportionate approach to project management.
  • Work closely with business areas to clarify requirements, agree priorities and manage expectations.
  • Complete all project controls, including timely and regular project reporting.
  • Matrix manage a flexible pool of project resources, working closely with other managers in the IT team.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across functional and divisional areas.
  • Ensure alignment and clarity on objectives and deliverables
  • Provide clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Support decision-making at project level, escalating matters where required.
  • Manage suppliers during project delivery and support a smooth transfer into Operations as part of service transition.
  • Provide programme management support.
  • Maintain the IT Programme List
  • Manage the Project Board review process, with timely reporting and appropriate risk management in place.

Key skills and experience required for this role:

  • At least five years' project management experience.
  • Experience in project management within complex environments
  • Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects successfully
  • Exposure to matrix organisations and multi-stakeholder environments
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree
    • PRINCE2, PMI or similar project management qualification.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects through to completion.
  • Strong communication skills
