The Role: 

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for the IT and Digitalisation category and contributing to the wider offering of Elixirr
  • Be a major influencer and contributor the development of Elixirr’s IT consulting go to market category, products & services
  • Build external supplier relationships to drive insights and cross sell
  • Actively identify and develop Elixirr’s IT expertise, knowledge and capability across the organisation
  • Lead on complex IT procurement projects including supporting transformation activity/initiatives
  • Develop/co-design and implement client IT procurement strategy and initiatives to support current and future requirements based on market trends including RPA
  • Co-ordinate IT procurement activities within the matrix style structure i.e. Elixirr IT Category – Consulting resources
  • Provide IT subject matter expertise in support of sales & bid activity, including identifying up-sell opportunities on client engagements, and promote the development of the Elixirr brand 
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice delivery across the organisation
  • Deliver multiple client engagements - lead client IT delivery projects & programmes; including managing the delivery of IT project work streams to achieve client project deliverables within defined deadlines
  • Meet with client stakeholders to define procurement project requirements
  • Manage stakeholder working relationships to influence change and ensure effective project delivery & outcomes

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Own the core delivery of assigned client IT projects to ensure that savings and or transformation objectives, efficiencies and cost optimisation are achieved
  • Lead the identification and implementation of assigned procurement IT opportunity assessments; identify tactical and strategic savings and supply chain performance improvements
  • Identification and implementation of IT procurement process improvements and transformation initiatives
  • Undertake and or lead supply market research and utilising Elixirr’s analytical and e-Procurement tools to develop IT category, sourcing and contract initiatives
  • Develop and implement for clients IT category plans, strategic sourcing, contract and supplier management/SRM & continuous improvement activities and initiatives
  • Manage client savings delivery/IT category programmes and lead on supplier/contract negotiations
  • Produce business cases and or IT Category Lead monthly reporting as required
  • Create and or develop Elixirr’s IT Consulting Team capability and expertise

Must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to think outside the box, innovate and constructively challenge the status quo
  • Ability to see the bigger picture, developing and implementing robust strategic plans
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, Proven capability of advising and influencing to CIO / CTO / CSIO community
  • Highly motivated, confident and credible
  • Extensive strategic procurement experience including leading major IT outsourcing programmes
  • Track record of strategic results delivery under pressure
  • Track record of successfully leading a procurement and/ or project team including project management and organisational skills
  • Financially literate - able to create and manage budgets, able to understand profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
  • MCIPS qualified
  • Strong negotiating skills
