DESCRIPTION:
Join us as an IT Director and contribute to advancing technological innovation across clinical research operations while leading the CRG Corporate IT portfolio through strong PMO governance and execution. In this role, you will provide strategic direction across systems development, IT operations, and enterprise project delivery. Working closely with the CRG corporate stakeholders, you will ensure the delivery of scalable, compliant, and value-driven IT solutions that support scientific innovation and improve patient health outcomes globally.
You will lead the CRG Corporate portfolio, driving PMO standards, prioritization, and execution discipline across programs and projects. This includes portfolio planning, demand management, financial tracking, resource optimization, and delivery transparency. You will partner with senior business and IT leaders to align investments with strategic objectives and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
In this role, you will direct cross-functional delivery teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee departmental and portfolio budgets while ensuring IT priorities align with business goals. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership on technology capabilities, delivery risk, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology trends. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high service and delivery standards, coordinating IT participation in audits, driving portfolio governance, and developing both people and solutions that advance our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Development, or IT Portfolio / Program Leadership
• Preferred Fields of Study: Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 6+ years of technical staff management experience
• 5+ years of project, program, or portfolio management leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience leading or operating within a PMO, including governance, prioritization, and delivery oversight
• 3+ years experience as IT business liaison working with senior management
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities
• Proven ability to direct through multiple management levels
• Experience managing portfolio-level budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships
• Expertise in coordinating regulatory and sponsor audits
• Strong understanding of IT compliance and regulatory requirements
• Excellence in strategic planning, portfolio governance, and cross-functional collaboration
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Outstanding communication and executive-level stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to travel as needed
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities across complex portfolios
• Client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of PPD systems (preferred)
