Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.
We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.
Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.
In June 2022, we announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes us the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.
But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output.
Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era.
We are looking for an IT Operations Lead to work closely with our Head of IT in shaping our day-to-day technology landscape. This is a role for someone who loves the "how" of technology as much as the "who."
You’ll lead a small, talented team while remaining technically active—owning service delivery, automation, and our partnership with external providers (MSPs). If you enjoy mentoring others while staying close to the technical work, this role offers a clear path to grow your leadership footprint in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
Empower our Team: Support 1,000+ employees by ensuring our IT services are seamless, from their first day to their last.
Collaborative Management: Manage our MSP relationship as a partnership—setting clear goals, maintaining high standards, and ensuring our external partners are an extension of our internal culture.
Problem Solve & Innovate: Identify manual bottlenecks and build smarter, automated workflows. You won't just be maintaining systems; you'll be building a more scalable foundation for our future.
Lead by Example: Balance hands-on technical contribution with people leadership, ensuring your team has the resources and guidance they need to succeed.
We value different perspectives and a variety of backgrounds. While technical skills are important, we care most about your problem-solving mindset and ability to learn.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have experience leading or mentoring in an IT operations environment (whether that’s as a formal Lead or a Senior Engineer ready for the next step).
You are comfortable working directly with technology - you enjoy solving technical puzzles and "building the bridge" yourself.
You have an automation-first mindset and have experience using tools to save time and reduce repetitive tasks.
You have a solid understanding of identity management, SaaS administration, and endpoint management.
You are a clear and empathetic communicator who can stay calm and helpful when things get busy.
Bonus points (but not required) for:
Experience in high-growth tech or edtech environments.
Familiarity with tools like Zapier, n8n, JumpCloud, or Google Workspace.
A passion for refining service management processes (like ITIL).
