About the Position

We’re seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support, configure and maintain multiple systems across all of our technology stacks, including desktop environments, network infrastructure and various application platforms. Working closely with specialised teams across the firm, you will help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our trading operations.

Technology is central to our business, and you’ll play a crucial role in responding to tech support requests, building and configuring Windows, Linux and macOS laptops, desktops and servers, supporting our Windows domain infrastructure, monitoring critical systems and helping with projects to optimise the way we work. You’ll also design, build and maintain automations with code to streamline recurring IT support tasks, reduce manual toil and improve team scalability.

Your success will depend on exceptional problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills as you collaborate with our technically-sophisticated users. The role demands real-time troubleshooting expertise, patient listening, comfort with asking clarifying questions and the humility to acknowledge mistakes. You'll experience immediate feedback and the satisfaction of seeing your solutions directly impact our business.

This role sits within our global IT Operations group, a team of systems and end user support engineers responsible for monitoring and managing our mixed Windows, Linux and macOS environment across a worldwide physical and virtual computing landscape.

About You

  • Passionate about helping end users and solving technical problems
  • Have strong experience administering Windows desktop and server environments in production, including Active Directory, Group Policy and related tooling
  • Experienced with troubleshooting MDM for iOS, macOS and Android devices on platforms such as Omnissa Workspace ONE or Jamf
  • Experienced with—or interested in—supporting and optimising platforms and tools, such as Chocolatey, Google Workspace and Bloomberg
  • A strong written and verbal communicator, spanning technical documentation and day-to-day support of end users
  • Having strong technical skills in scripting for Windows (especially in PowerShell) or any Linux scripting experience (in Bash or Python) is a plus
  • Fluent in English
