Chanel’s Corporate CIO function looks after global corporate IT applications from process, tooling and IT support vendor perspective, and the Operational Excellence team within Corporate CIO plays a crucial role in centrally driving process standardisation, tooling optimisation and strategy for effective RUN performance. As part of smarter ways of working, one of the key philosophies is simplifying and standardising siloed processes to maximise efficiency, building on from what we know across functions and what tools & process we currently possess.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Excellence, you will take part to an exciting and ambitious roadmap to deliver, and:

  • Support with IT service management strategy (process standardisation, roll-out & adoption)
  • Support with performance reporting methodology for the Global Dashboard by identifying improvements in the reporting framework

Your role @ Chanel

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT service management, gain familiarity with common IT service management tools widely used across industry, and work closely with Managers & Senior Managers from all Corporate IT domains (e.g. Finance, Legal, HR…), who are primarily based in London.

The impact you can create at Chanel

  • Dashboard Roadmap - Working with different domain you will help define the new reporting requirements. Understand and detail those requirement and conceptualise where they might fit on the existing BI dashboard.
  • Oversight for Build – Work with the offshore team to track the development of these new reports and socialise with the domains once these reports are available.
  • Missing Data – Work with the domains and teams to understand any missing data and help provide that information to the offshore build team
  • Comms & Document Management – Support with document management strategy & execution underpinning the new processes, and own communications underpinning the new processes (e.g. campaigns/channel set up)

What you will bring

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate technical requirements into business language
  • Customer-centric mindset with ability to communicate concisely
  • Process-orientated with high attention to detail
  • Efficient problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn & understand to new technologies (no coding or development skills needed)
  • Demonstrable data analytical skills; being able to analyse & drive insights from large data sets
  • Ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
