Objectives

  • Provide a foundational understanding of IT support roles in a corporate environment.

  • Offer hands-on exposure through observation and basic participation in IT-related tasks.

  • Encourage learning and engagement with various aspects of IT operations and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow IT team members as they carry out support, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.

  • Observe how user support tickets are logged, managed, and resolved.

  • Assist with basic physical tasks such as:

    • Organising and labelling IT equipment.

    • Supporting with equipment setup in meeting rooms.

    • Managing inventory of IT assets (under supervision).

  • Attend team meetings and informal training sessions.

  • Learn about key areas such as networking, cybersecurity basics, and service desk procedures.

  • Eagerness to learn and actively participate.

  • Good verbal communication and professional conduct.

  • Ability to follow instructions and handle technical equipment responsibly.

      

Additional Information

  • A laptop and temporary user account will be provided for the duration of the experience.

  • Access will be limited to non-sensitive systems and platforms for training and participation purposes.

  • The intern will be closely supervised by a member of the IT team at all times.

  • A confidentiality agreement may be required before access is granted.
