Grade UE06: £34,610 - £39,906 per annum

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: 12 months

The Opportunity:

As the IT Hardware Supply Officer, you will be responsible for providing an efficient, proactive, and organised logistical and technical support in the service of the University of Edinburgh’s IT hardware distribution. Includes ordering, stock control, supplier management, financial administration, commissioning and distribution of IT devices in an effective, customer focused and efficient timely manner. 

As this is an inventory control role, there is a requirement to work on-site 5 days per week in Edinburgh.

The Infrastructure Division provides the core platforms and technologies on which the University's research, learning, teaching and digital administration depend. This includes management of the University's data and telephone networks and support of managed desktop computing and open-access computer suites. Two resilient data-centres host large-scale compute and data services for research, and server and storage infrastructure for providing enterprise services. The division also provides infrastructure technologies such as authentication and authorisation used by University I.T. services.
