IT Audit and Controls Analyst

About this role.
The IT Department is responsible for the support and development of the key underwriting platforms which allow the business to operate.

As part of this we need to ensure that our systems and processes operate in a manner that ensures that we achieve the financial, regulatory and reputational standards required.

Reporting to the IT Audit & Controls Manager you will:

  • Provide timely reporting of IT audit and compliance testing and remediation status of deficiencies, both internal and external.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on delivering evidence for achieving and maintaining compliance and status on gap remediation.

  • Provide suggestions on how to improve processes and support process improvement implementation.

  • Collect and scrutinise records, analysing evidence to ensure adherence to organisational standards across activities, processes, data, products, or services.

  • Assist with coordinating with all stakeholders to conduct audits within agreed .timescales, ensuring thorough analysis and interpretation of control measures and standards conformance.

  • Provide, collect and analyse key metrics to Managers and staff.

  • Attend Service Review meetings, audit meetings, team meetings and departmental meetings.

Skills/Experience:

Required:

  • 3 years+ experience of working in an office environment.

  • Experience of working in a rapidly changing IT environment.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to context switch efficiently.

  • Excellent team player who is equally capable of working independently.

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of initiative.

  • Data extracts, analysis, and report production, utilising Microsoft Excel and other tools for example PowerBI and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Hybrid working with Min 3 days per week in City of London Office.

  • Comfortable working with I.T. and business leaders.

Desirable:

  • General understanding of insurance platforms & products.

  • Knowledge of Incident, Change, Request and Problem ITIL processes.

  • Active in the IT community (i.e. Forums / StackExchange etc).

  • Experience in Insurance/Financial Services/IT Support, experience of working with ITSM toolset such as ServiceNow, IT support/service management/reporting experience within a corporate environment.

  • Worked with offshore service providers.
