The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division is seeking an IT Analyst Applications that plays a key role in supporting and enhancing business‑critical systems within the Glovia COE team. This position contributes to application development, troubleshooting, system testing, requirements documentation, and ongoing technical support. The analyst collaborates closely with IT partners and business users to ensure application stability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do:
• Support the design, development, testing, and ongoing support of enterprise application solutions
• Assist with coding, debugging, and testing of application components using established development standards
• Troubleshoot application and system issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques
• Contribute to requirements gathering and documentation, including functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as process flows, logic diagrams, and system procedures
• Support application design activities and apply basic architecture and integration standards
• Participate in system, database, and platform integration efforts across multiple applications
• Assist with planning, executing, and documenting system and software testing activities
• Log, track, and escalate issues following standard incident, change, and escalation processes
• Collaborate with technical teams and business partners to support reliable, stable application services
What You Have:
Enterprise Systems & Integration: Knowledge of application workflows, data structures, and upstream/downstream impacts within an integrated enterprise environment.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques, identify root causes, and support issue resolution through defined escalation processes.
Technical Documentation: Experience producing and maintaining clear, accurate technical and procedural documentation.
Technical Communication & Collaboration: Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
Operating Systems: Hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems in an application or enterprise support context.
Database Technologies: Working experience with relational databases, including Oracle Database and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
Scripting & ETL Development: Experience with scripting or data integration tools such as Bash, C#, SSIS, or equivalent ETL technologies.
Top Candidates Will Have:
• Experience supporting project planning and execution activities, including task tracking, status reporting, documentation, and coordination with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting and contributing to enterprise application development, maintenance, and production support for business-critical systems.
• Understanding of SDLC phases, deliverables, and quality expectations across development, testing, release, and support.
• Experience supporting testing activities, including test execution, defect documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
• Familiarity with structured incident, change, and release management processes in an enterprise production environment.
• Experience working with ERP platforms such as Glovia G2 or equivalent enterprise systems.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and technologies within a complex enterprise environment.
Additional Information:
Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
