Role Overview:

The IT Service & Support team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is energized by a vision of exceptional employee experience—where technology not only supports work but fuels creativity and connection. As an IT Support Administrator – AV & Events Support, you will be instrumental in turning each interaction into a standout experience. You'll be involved with internal and external SIE events, from setup, live support when the event is happening and teardown. You will be part of a team that does daily check and maintenance of AV kit across all meetings rooms and supporting providing outstanding support through the Walk-Up Desk. A key part of your role will involve supporting and optimizing meeting room AV experiences within a Microsoft Teams Rooms environment, ensuring world-class reliability and ease of use. You will be onsite between 3-5 days a week depending on business needs.

Your toolkit will blend technical troubleshooting, proactive system maintenance, and a passion for elevating digital and in-person collaboration experiences. You’ll liaise closely with global teams and AV partners—ensuring our technology empowers compelling live and virtual moments that reflect SIE’s bold and immersive culture.

This role demands a proactive attitude, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to operate hands-on in high-pressure, high-visibility situations. You’ll be the go-to expert for AV infrastructure and hybrid collaboration—from internal town halls and leadership meetings to major external showcases. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide hands-on support for internal and external SIE events across multiple countries and regions.
  • Support meeting rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms environments.
  • Perform daily meeting room checks at SIE using Poly Lens and Teams Admin Centre
  • Support, plan, and implement internal events (virtual and in-person) including town halls, and employee network events.
  • Manage AV equipment across the estate, ensuring high availability and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Investigate and deploy new technologies to enhance event quality, network infrastructure, and collaboration tools.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for AV and collaboration systems, resolving incidents within SLA and escalating where required.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing technical event and AV support within an enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of PlayStation hardware and software platforms.
  • Demonstrable ability to design and deliver engaging online and hybrid events.
  • Hands-on experience with video production technologies, audio/video/lighting setups, and broadcast tools with advanced post editing skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and collaboration technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise, macOS, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Solid understanding of MacOS
  • Tier 1 & 2 support experience within enterprise environments.
  • Intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls).
  • Basic scripting familiarity (PowerShell, Bash, or AppleScript).
  • Working knowledge of Teams Admin Centre and Teams Pro Portal.
Non-Technical Skills:
  • Professional credibility and discretion when handling confidential or embargoed content.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong commitment to troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
  • Customer-centric attitude with an unwavering focus on service excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certification (e.g., MCP, MCITP, MCTS).
  • Apple certifications (e.g., ACSP, ACTC).
  • CCNA Certification (or equivalent networking qualification).
Broader Context:

The Audio Visual & Events Support function is an integral part of SIE IT Service & Support, delivering Tier 2 support and event technology services to PlayStation’s global workforce. The team operates within a hybrid Microsoft Windows and macOS environment integrated with Active Directory and enterprise collaboration platforms.

Core team objectives include:
  • Delivering advanced Tier 2 support for internal users.
  • Ensuring service readiness for new projects and technologies.
  • Maintaining robust asset management and audit controls.
  • Driving continual service improvement initiatives.
  • Upholding SIE’s Global Information Security Policy across all activities.
