ISDA Negotiator

This is a great job for someone with experience either within an investment bank or financial services institution negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and associated documentation.

A bit about the job:

We are seeking a legal professional to deliver first-class legal support across Aviva Investors’ investment management, funds business, and operations, with a focus on OTC derivatives. This role involves negotiating key documentation such as ISDAs, CSAs, Account Control Agreements, CDEAs, and MCAs. You will assist business and operations teams in resolving post-trade queries and discrepancies, particularly those arising from collateral disputes. Additionally, you will support the Head of Legal Trading and stakeholders in navigating regulatory reform and market developments, while also helping to monitor and mitigate legal risks in line with the Legal Business Standard. A collaborative mindset is essential, as you’ll contribute to knowledge sharing and resource optimisation across the legal function, regardless of team ownership or location.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working with OTC clearing agreements and execution agreements beneficial.

  • Knowledge of ISDA protocols.

  • Proven ability to participate in projects, negotiations and manage relationships with third parties and external advisers.

  • Strong experience in areas of law and regulation relevant to investments in derivatives and securities finance.

  • Strong oral and written communication and problem solving skills.
