We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!


We are currently recruiting for a Frame & Covers / Ironworks Operative to join our team in Yorkshire, you will be working in a team of highly skilled Operatives to carry out Replacing manhole frames and covers efficiently throughout Bradford Area,

About the role:

  • Location: Bradford Yorkshire.
  • Hours: Up to 50 hours per week Overtime also available at time and a half.
  • Salary: To be discussed
  • Weekly pay

Responsibilities

  • Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently, Excavate by hand, Replace gullies with precision and care. As well as Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.)
  • Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
  • Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
  • Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various task.
  • Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Wearing and maintaining Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensuring highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects
  • Be able to read and understand Drainage plans.


What we are looking for:

Whilst we are looking for the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out the responsibilities of the role it’s just as important to have employees with a positive and caring attitude or those who are looking for develop further and grow with the group.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license (Required)
  • Training will be NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3
