Job Description

Location: London, Hybrid - 1 day per week in our London office   

Join a dynamic and innovative team of developers that work closely to enhance our mobile applications. Your team will play a crucial role in providing our customers with an exceptional mobile experience, making Gousto the go-to app for dinner planning and preparation.

As an iOS Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our mobile team, working on exciting projects that directly impact our customer experience. Your contributions will help shape the future of our iOS application, ensuring it remains user-friendly, efficient, and innovative. Success in this role means delivering high-quality code, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and continuously learning and growing within your craft.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Swift UI code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Write code with a high test coverage.
• Participate in sharing knowledge sessions and code reviews to maintain code quality
• Work closely with the UX/UI designers to improve the overall user experience
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

Who You Are

• Proficient with Swift UI and understanding of UIKit
• Knowledgeable in MVVM architecture and user journey coordinator patterns.
• Fluent with Swift
• Experienced with Core Data
• Proud and confident writing Unit Tests for your code.
• Proficient in using RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Familiarity with Firebase A/B testing, remote configuration, and push notifications
• Experience in tracking product analytics and AWS monitoring
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and proactive approach to overcoming challenges
• Great communication skills, able to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Experienced with Agile methodologies
