A new and exciting investor relations manager role has opened up in one of the highest quality companies in the UK market.

The creation of this new role reflects the continued growth and increasing profile of this FTSE 100 company. You will work with the Co-Heads of Investor Relations and the Investor Relations Coordinator in continuing to grow the investor relations programme, helping them innovate to find new pools of investor interest, and to ensure continued, consistent and high quality communication with existing shareholders and the sell-side.

You will have a good understanding of the role of investor relations, and how a company interacts with the wider capital markets. As well as being highly numerate and literate, you will also be a strong communicator, being able to tell a compelling story in both written and verbal form.

You will be expected to build strong relationships, both outside the company with investors, analysts and advisors, including at external events, and also to work in a highly collaborative manner across the organisation, including with senior management, division and company heads, finance, communications, company secretariat and our M&A teams. There will be good access to senior management and candidates should be comfortable in operating at all levels across the organisation.

Role specifics:

  • General day to day assistance as a member of the IR team
  • Management of IR materials and website, and responding to ad hoc/investor queries
  • Assisting in formulating IR strategy, and creating investor targeting lists
  • Attending and participating in investor meetings and conferences
  • Helping to organise IR events
  • Assisting in the creation of the annual report
  • Gathering facts and key internal information for input into results releases and presentations
  • Analysing trends in shareholder register ownership and reporting internally
  • Helping to prepare and produce investor materials, PowerPoint decks/fact sheets etc.
  • Helping to draft materials for acquisition announcements and liaising with M&A teams
  • Consulting with division and company teams to understand operational trends and activity
  • Contributing to IR documents (e.g. results Q&A and briefings, Board report content)
  • Collation of consensus and management of analyst forecasts

Skills required:

  • A good understanding of the role of investor relations
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy
  • High “EQ”, including good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good ability to formulate a compelling story in both written and verbal form.
  • Excellent organisation and planning ability
  • An ability to work well under pressure and with attention to detail
  • Strong technology skills would be an advantage, including a demonstrated interest in utilising AI, as well as Excel and PowerPoint
