Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investor Relations Coordinator to join our team.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills to join Smiths Group’s Investor Relations (IR) team (of three). IR is responsible for the company’s interaction with institutional shareholders and research analysts within the global equity markets. Working in the IR team you will have a wide-ranging role supporting the team with the organisation of investor roadshows, financial results presentations, ad-hoc events such as Capital Markets Days and investor site visits, as well as comprehensive investor targeting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing complex scheduling logistics, and investor roadshow coordination, with lead organisation of UK roadshows; including liaising with investors/brokers to arrange meetings and all associated logistics, such as flight bookings, transfers, hotels
- Collaborate with IR team colleagues and external advisers on investor targeting to support roadshow strategy
- Manage the half and full year results presentation process including meetings, webcast, invites, alongside supporting the preparation of materials and compiling post-event feedback
- Manage the organisation of investor events, eg capital markets days, including venue liaison, logistics, recordings, management of attendees
- Coordinate scheduling of all ad-hoc investor meetings and attend meetings to take notes, as required
- Maintain and update the CRM platform, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date records of all investor interactions to generate reports for the Executive Committee; primary contact with CRM provider on platform development
- Compile and distribute analysts’ research and relevant peers’ reports
- Maintain and update IR specific materials, including content for IR section of the website and occasional input into comms content creation, for example social media posts, owned content development, awards submissions
- Other ad-hoc administrative and project support to the IR team including managing the IR calendar and inbox, invoice management and third-party provider liaison
- Strong MS office skills
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills:
- Previous experience of working in an Investor Relations function within a FTSE-listed company/corporate broking/equity analyst environment/IR consultancy helpful, but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively
- A collaborative and confident approach, with discretion and professionalism and a customer centric attitude
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- A proactive individual who is capable of working on their own initiative
- Ability to multi-task, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- A strong team player with a flexible approach to work
