The role: 

We are currently hiring an Investment Manager on a 12-month contract. You are responsible for managing the investment deliverables of multi million dollar budgets for clients with a strong investment and brand profile. You have the responsibility for managing the campaign processes for placement and tracking, whilst keeping clients up to date on media performance. You are also responsible for guiding more junior team members through the buying and implementation process. 

Core responsibilities: 

  • Be the day-to-day investment contact for a key client and play a support role to the Client Director. 

  • Proactively and periodically provide insightful media landscape updates and trading opportunities to the clients, aligned to briefed objectives and KPIs. 

  • Offline Investment planning and trading, primarily TV, including effective and efficient optimisation; followed by OOH, radio and cinema as required. 

  • Full accountability for the end-to-end investment process; briefing, booking, negotiating and buying media, managing multimillion dollar media budgets for clients with an exceptional degree of accuracy. 

  • Support the Client Director in accurately forecasting media billings by media owner as well as ongoing dialogue/updating the Group Investment Lead. 

  • Manage the workflow and quality of investment deliverables that are managed by the Executive and Associate levels. 

  • Ensure a high level of investment craft capability in more junior team members, mentoring them and further, recommending and supporting appropriate training modules. 

  • Managing Partnership Implementation, including deadline management, client legal consideration oversight, feedback and approvals processes. 

A bit about you: 

  • 3-4 years of experience in a Media Buyer or Investment Manager role (or similar) ideally from a media agency. 

  • An expert in the Australian media marketplace, especially offline channels (TV, radio, OOH, print, sponsorships, etc) 

  • Ability to use and understand market and proprietary investment tools and systems, particularly VOZ, Spectra, MOVE. Mutinex competency is an advantage. 

  • Experience managing multi-million dollar media budgets and skilled in investment tracking, monitoring, and reporting and KPI management, with meticulous detail. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, in addition to client facing presentation skills.
