About the Role

Level: 2
Department: Investment Management
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent

We are looking to recruit an individual with passion for the industry into our growing team. This role will be assisting an investment manager and the wider team.

This work will include administrative jobs such as opening new accounts, preparing client reviews, assisting with suitability, preparing investment proposals and once exams have been completed, rebalancing portfolios and portfolio management.

The individual should be comfortable taking control of various projects, maintaining a keen attention to detail throughout all tasks and working diligently and in a timely manner.

The individual will report to an investment manager in the team.

We are happy to provide full training for the role, as well as offering access to formal industry qualifications, with the aim of progressing you into an Investment Manager.

An applicant who is already qualified to Level 4 or has already started industry exams is preferable but not mandatory.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing client reviews
  • Producing investment proposals
  • Preparing suitability letters
  • Maintenance of suitability affirmations
  • Once qualified to a sufficient degree, involved in portfolio management (including portfolio rebalancing, investing new monies, raising monies etc.)
  • Monitoring risk systems
  • Ensuring liquidity for income payments and charges
  • Dealing with queries from clients, financial advisors and/or other professionals
  • Picking up regular and infrequent tasks e.g. monthly and quarterly emails we need to send out to clients and/ or advisors

About You

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator/Trainee Investment Manager within Wealth or Investment Management, however this is not essential

To be successful in this role you will be an independent worker and thinker.

You have an interest in financial services or have a good understanding of our financial services where you can utilise your knowledge and experience within investment management.

A good level of communication skills is required.

A good level of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.

Experience within financial services is beneficial.
