We are looking to recruit a hardworking, diligent individual with an active interest in the industry and a desire to provide our clients with a high level of personal service.
This role will be directly assisting two senior Investment Managers and a Trainee Investment Manager, whilst working within a wider team of 15 colleagues.
This is a key administrative position and the successful applicant with play an integral role in supporting a busy team in the management and development of their growing client base.
The individual will report to the two senior Investment Managers mentioned above.

  • We will provide full training for the role; and the Trainee Investment Manager will fully help to guide you through all required tasks.
  • You will be responsible for responding to administrative client and financial adviser queries by phone, letter or email. You will need to be able to draft general correspondence using templates and ensure all worked is saved correctly on behalf of the team, in a compliant manner.
  • You will be organising bank payments, issuing valuations and tax reports, and providing application paperwork and cost information when requested.
  • You will need to assist the investment managers with ongoing portfolio management; identifying debit positions and forthcoming standing orders; making client and third-party payments; monitoring of incoming and outgoing in-specie or cash transfers, whilst keeping both the clients, financial advisers and the team appraised of progress.
  • You will be pivotal in assisting the team with the quarterly reporting process and be able to maintain comprehensive databases with up-to-date client details.
  • You will take ownership of liaising with clients and financial advisers to book review meetings, including booking meeting rooms, organising lunches, liaising with our reception team, and updating team calendars with all details. You will also need to record associated expenses and send any administrative follow up as directed by the team.
  • For new clients, you will be responsible for printing/binding pitch presentations, opening new accounts and adding new client and financial adviser details to our database. You will need to ensure accounts are opened correctly and in a timely manner and feel confident liaising with middle and back office departments.  

About You

  • You will be working very closely with our clients and their trusted advisers to provide the best service with information regarding their portfolio, which necessitates close relationship building with all stakeholders whether that be internally or externally. You will therefore need to have a good communication and interpersonal skill set. You will need to be able to build a rapport with clients and be able to adapt your style to suit the variety of clients we look after.
  • You will be able to act on you own initiative and work independently.
  • You will have solid organisational skills to manage your workload and meet deadlines. You will also understand the importance of precision and accuracy.
  • Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator within Wealth or Investment Management.
  • You have an interest in financial services or have a good understanding of our services where you can utilise your knowledge and experience within investment management.
  • If you have an Administrative Financial Qualification, experience within financial services is beneficial.
