Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for conducting comprehensive and objective internal investigations of alleged misconduct including instances of reported unethical or illegal practices, violation of company policies, or breach of legal and regulatory requirements.
The Investigator will also be responsible for conducting sensitive and potentially high-risk investigations to protect the assets and interests of the company. The role will also be responsible for trending and analyzing investigative findings to facilitate the tightening and improvement of business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct timely, objective, impartial and fact-finding internal investigations by following effective investigative steps.
- Ensure internal investigations are conducted in accordance with all relevant client policies, procedures and guidance.
- Prioritize multiple investigations, investigative tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining positive collaborative relations with various stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders where appropriate such as HR, Compliance and Legal, including external counsel when conducting legally privileged investigations.
- Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality, and ensure investigations are completed in a thorough and timely manner.
- Identify trends, emerging risks, and insights regarding harassment and discrimination investigations.
- Maintain current knowledge and awareness of investigative techniques, fraud schemes, privacy laws, and applicable industry regulations.
- Deliver professionally written investigative reports incorporating all evidence required to prove or disprove investigative findings and identify causal factors to facilitate corrective and preventative action plans.
- Manage case files and investigative data using client case management system and provide feedback to continuously improve the end-to-end process of corporate investigations.
Requirements
Educational Background
University degree or equivalent diploma in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Forensic accounting or related field of study preferred.
Job-Related Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing investigations and related processes
- Experience in performing investigations and/or audits under the direction of internal and/or external Legal counsel
- Experience working with teams to conduct investigations timely, with a proven record of team building across functions
- Demonstrated decision-making and project management skills.
- Must be flexible, self-starter, team oriented, and capable of multi-tasking
- Use business acumen and insights to effectively manage investigations in the company matrix organization including across multiple sets of stakeholders
- Ability to interpret and conceptualize rules, guidelines, policies, procedures and controls
- Sound and independent judgement in complex and sensitive cases
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to assess/analyze complex business information and develop appropriate conclusions
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong proficiency in English
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Must be highly and effectively organized
- Proven analytical and data analysis skills
- Analyse and present in simple form large volume of information.

Other Job-Related Skills
- Experience in the Consumer Healthcare or FMCG Industry is an advantage.
- Ability to credibly interact with internal and external stakeholders, and to establish strong, trust-based relationships.
- Experience in the fields of security and organizational resilience (crisis management).
- Experience of working in multiple jurisdictions will be an advantage.
- Experience working in a multinational/multicultural environment is desirable.
- Proficiency in working on case management systems and e-discovery platforms.
- Proficiency in conducting open-source intelligence searches.
- Foreign language skills
