THE ASSIGNMENT

The Global Procurement department is responsible for supporting stakeholders with procurement processes and policies. In this department, we have room for an intern who will do a research and development internship.

The primary objective of this assignment is to research stakeholder experience with the GPS Chatbot and propose design improvements to enhance usability, accuracy, and adoption. The chatbot will be operational and we aim to refine its design based on real-world feedback.

Scope of Work:

1. Define Phase

  • Review the current state of the GPS Chatbot (pilot version and knowledge base).
  • Identify key areas for improvement in terms of user experience, conversation flow, and multilingual support.
  • Define project goals and objectives for stakeholder research and design enhancement.

2. Measure Phase

  • Collect feedback from stakeholders (RPO staff, category managers, business requestors) through interviews and surveys.
  • Establish metrics for evaluating chatbot performance (accuracy, escalation rate, user satisfaction, adoption).

3. Analyze Phase

  • Analyze pilot logs and golden question test sets to pinpoint usability issues.
  • Research best practices in chatbot design, conversation-driven development, and multilingual experience.
  • Develop a plan for improving conversation flows, escalation paths, and knowledge base structure.

4. Improve Phase

  • Propose enhancements to the chatbot’s design
  • Validate proposed changes with a small stakeholder group and document results.

5. Control Phase

  • Recommend control measures for continuous improvement (knowledge updates, feedback loops).
  • Suggest training guidelines for procurement teams to maximize adoption.
  • Outline monitoring and reporting methods for chatbot performance and user satisfaction over time.

Of course, there is room to tailor the assignment so that it meets the requirements of your study program.

In addition to colleagues in the Procurement departments, you will work together with colleagues from various other Abbott branches

THE STUDENT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Is following a Bachelor study and has a background in:

  • Business IT & Management, Industrial Engineering & Management, Supply Chain Management
  • Understanding of MS Office 365 applications
  • Basic understanding of AI and programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

And finally, you will receive an internship allowance of € 500 (gross per month for full-time).
